Questions1: Why doesn't the NPC sell equipment for your class?
The equipment you're looking for may simply be further down on the list of items in the NPC's shop. There is a thin scrollbar to the right of the list of items -- use it!


Questions2: What does upgrading my equipment do for you and why should you do it?
Upgrading is a great way to improve your equipment(Last Chaos Money)! Upgrading adds extra attack or defense. Also, certain levels have extra effects to improve your equipment more. The weapon upgrade page shows how much your weapon can be improved and more info on the special effects. The armor upgrade page shows how much your armor can be improved and more on the special effects. Also, upgraded weapons and armor have visual effects.


Question3: What's that little pet fairy thing for? How do you get it?
When you upgrade all your armor to +4 or higher, then you will have this fairy appear. The more the armor is upgraded, the bigger the fairy will be. The fairy itself does nothing. You can see here for what the fairy looks like for the various upgrade levels(Last Chaos powerleveling).
